Wir haben 2 Touren mit Surprise Tour gemacht und waren vollauf zufrieden. Die 1. Halbtagstour war nach Mnemba Island mit Abdul. Die Abholung war pünktlich und Abdul hat uns viel über die Insel erzählt und wir konnten ihn alles mögliche fragen. Die Bootsfahrt war sehr schön. Wir hatten das Glück auch Delfine zu sehen und konnten knapp über ihnen schwimmen. Das Wasser vor der Sandbank bei Mnemba Island war einfach ein Traum! Es gab wahnsinnig viele Fische zu sehen. Das Schnorchel war einfach traumhaft. Als Snack danach gab´s eine herrliche Obstplatte mit lauter frischen Früchten. Auch das Mittagessen danach war sehr lecker.
Am 2. Tag waren wir mit Felix (einem deutschsprechenden Einheimischen) unterwegs. Zuerst zum Jozani Forrest, wo es leider regnete, aber wir haben trotzdem einige Affen gesehen. Danach ging´s zur Gewürzfarm. Wirklich sehr interessant und sehenswert. Mit Felix hatten wir viel Spaß! Und anschließend fuhren wir nach Stonetown. Wo uns Felix viel über die Stadt und ihre Geschichte erzählte. Als Tipp: wenn ihr Gewürze kaufen wollt, nicht auf der Gewürzfarm, sondern am Markt in Stonetown kaufen - ist dort günstiger ;)
Wir mussten beide Touren auf andere Tage verschieben, weil unser Reiseveranstalter die Safari-Tour an andere Tage verschoben hat. Die Verschiebung war überhaupt kein Problem und die Verständigung via Whatsapp war problemlos. Also alles in Allem ist Surprise Tour & Safaris auf jedem Fall zu empfehlen!!!

We booked with Abdul prior to our arrival in Zanzibar. Communication went via whatsapp and it was very good. Showed us all the options which were available. We liked everything he was offering, so we sent our dates that we were there and he made an itinerary for us. We had 4 full days and 1 half day of excursions. When we arrived in Zanzibar we moved some of the excursions because of the weather, and this was no problem at all for him. Abdul gave us good recommendations for which day was best for which excursion. Even on the last day we made a request that we wanted to see the sunset, that was no problem and we stayed for an extra 4 hours. Abdul explained everything very well and thoroughly while on excursion. Our driver Alibaba was also a very good extra guide. We had a lot of fun with Abdul and he made our holiday! Pricing was really good, in our hotel the excursions were at least 25% more expensive and we even had three days of private tours. We suggest you book with him for your best Zanzibar experience! Highly recommend. Thanks again Abdul.

Before our holiday, I spent considerable time evaluating various excursion providers in Zanzibar. Given that this was a special family vacation—celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary—I was keen to ensure everything went smoothly. However, I was taken aback by the high prices and the lack of transportation to and from our hotel for most of the excursions. Over five days, our family enjoyed amazing excursions with Abdul as our private guide, providing us with the most authentic experiences we could have hoped for. For us, Abdul was a true stroke of luck.
